Donald Jackson

Donald Jackson, born in 1938 is one of the world's most foremost Western calligraphers. He is also the official scribe and calligrapher to the Crown Office of the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland. He is also the Master of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and is currently the artistic director of the Saint John's Bible - a recent, hand-written and illuminated Grand Bible.

His style is heavily influenced by Blackletter, olde English styles, which gives his work a regal feel since the type was only used by rich, powerful or religious figures of that time. He's a great inspiration to take notice of since he's so highly regarded for his skills in calligrapher.
